Looks like you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you don't miss a single conversation! Thanks for visiting!

We had some great conversations going on last week in the forum. Check some of these threads out and feel free to join in the conversation!

How did you get started blogging? - Calypso, who blogs about weight loss, asked the community how we all got started. It was great learning how we all got started.

How do you deal with hate comments? - Cedric tells us about a situation he has had to face with negative comments on his blog; it’s something that is getting more and more common. There is a great discussion about how to handle comments like this.

How much time do you spend on your posts? - I posed the question to my fellow bloggers. Some people spend just a few minutes and others spend hours!

What is the best placement of ads in a blog? - Ablaye asked where has been the best place to place ads in your blog. I felt this was a great question, but didn’t get enough examples. I would love to hear more about this.

I invite you to check out the topics from this week’s weekend wrap up!

Rss Feeds, Bookmarking Ethics, and MORE!

Saturday, August 4th, 2007

Each week I will highlight some of the great discussions from the week before and invite you the readers to get involved in them! This will be called the Weekend Wrapup!

We had a lot of great topics started in our blog forum and I would like to invite you to be part of them! Here are some of the highlights from last week:

  • Bookmarking Ethics - Shyflower asked a great questions about the ethics behind bookmarking your own blogs. Most people agreed it was ok to do, but not to abuse the system.
  • RSS Explanation - Megan from Girl in the IT world is new to blogging and asks for a good explanation of RSS and really, why should she care? This will seem very obvious to experienced bloggers, but for beginners, it is something that is very important to understand!
  • Is your feed prominent? - I asked if people’s feeds were prominent and easy to find. You’ll be surprised how many people don’t make their feed easy to subscribe to
  • What is the best thing you’ve done for your blog? - Mark from Search-this.com (an Internet Marketing Blog) asked what the best thing people did for their blog was. This proved to be a really interesting discussion.

There were so many discussions last week and those were just some that I thought were helpful. Please come to the forum and see what else is going on! Out of all of those, I really enjoyed people telling us what they did for their blog. What have you done for your blog?
