Just a little suggestion that I feel help out users of the New Post link.

There is a setting in the AdminCP that allows posts you've read to be properly marked as read. Just now they still appear as new posts and still show on the forum index that they are new despite being read. This can be a nuisense if like me you live by the New Posts link :)
Any chance of adding a link to the New posts at the bottom of threads in between the next and previous links. I've seen this done elsewhere and it makes life so much easier on really long threads as you don't have to go back to the top of the screen to get to the link.

These are just a couple of things that make life a little easier on viewers (although I appreciate this is only my opinion).

Hey Bob. Posts are usually marked as read (I am a big new post person) but it's been acting weird today, not sure why. There are different settings though and I'll explore those.

Yes I can add a new posts there as well. I'll do it in my morning tomorrow.

Something that may interest you if you're a firefox user is the TBE Toolbar (http://www.theblogexperiment.com/blog-forum/showthread.php?t=177&highlight=toolbar)

They are marked as read, it's just that they still appear in the New Posts link which can be a pain if there are alot of new posts :)

That's default for vB but can be changed in the AdminCP somewhere. It uses a couple more resources, but if your host can handle a forum being run they can certainly cope with a couple more resources being used ;)

EDIT: I've added the menu thingy (I added it three times before I noticed it in the actual menu, I was looking around my StumbleUpon toolbar thinking it would be around there) cute :)

yeah, I've got a dedicated server so it's not really an issue. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the feedback :)
