Jeremy (not ashcraft) kept bugging and bugging me to have an image in his sig. He said,

"Sara, I realllllly need to be able to put an image in my sig. I'll send you some Taco Bell!"

And with that I was sold. Jeremy, please use a food saver to vacuum pack my taco bell so it is still fresh when it arrives here in Belgium. And please.. no red sauce.

As long as the images don't bog down the server, I've got no issue with having them in sigs. Enjoy!

I'm sure VB allows for users to add thier images via a third party (imageshack..etc) instead of using your server resource? much safer too i guess.

Right, all turning the IMG tag on does is allow people to include an image inline, which is almost certainly going to be pulled from a third party website so it should have no noticable effect on this site's resources.

Yes, there is a way to upload a signature pic though. if you do upload one you use the call [ sigpic ][ /sigpic ]

ps: your sample isn't very good, you can probably route around any settings you impose on users since you're the admin and all

I have no idea. I followed the directions and it worked for me. and it makes me have the same permissions as everyone else. Let me try with the dummy account.

Let me try with the dummy account.

So you're going to test it with stymiee's account?

Well crap.

Jeremy

It looks like it is just a permissions thing, when I go into my signature area where it lists what code is available, it says this: Allow [IMG] Code No

So you may have accidently only turned on that permission for a select user group and not all registered members.

Should be good now. I had set it to allow it for everyone, but that apparently doesn't overrule the "usergroup" settings which was set to know. So much to learn .

Thanks for bearing with me.
