Where do you host your pictures or images? Do you upload them to an image hosting site or to your own server space?

I have always just uploaded them to my own site but recently have considered putting them elsewhere to conserve bandwidth, although I have plenty of bandwidth to go around!

I'm the same. I usually just upload to my own site too although recently I have considered using an image host.

I will be storing images on flickr, I think, after November to save bandwidth. I am considering moving main site to a different webhost that has better bandwidth to keep everything in one place, though.

My friend, Joe Tan (http://tantannoodles.com/toolkit/wordpress-s3/) wrote a plugin to host images on S3 with WordPress

If they're photos then they're on Flickr, otherwise I just store them on the server.

I just use my own server. I have thought about checking out Flicker because my husband for some reason wants to use that also.

Thanks, but Joe's the clever one, I just subscribe to forums :)

I really don't use too many photos in my daily blog activities, so they just go right on the server. Of course if that were to change, or I had a post that received thousands of hits a day that had photos, I would consider hosting off-site.

Same server where my site is hosted. :)

My own server. I don't like facing the nice situation when my pics are no longer showing. If my pics fail, then the entire site is dead

I keep all my photos on Flickr, so I occasionally link to the static images from there. If it's not a photo, but something like a screenshot, I'll upload it to my site and serve it from there. Rather than FTP/SFTP in each time, I added a simple upload form with a select dropdown of the directories I commonly drop files into into my WP admin panel.

I try to find images on google to save space/bandwidth (don't this early on I don't really need to worry about that, but it helps keep my ftp organized and clean :))

I also recently upgraded my flickr account for my blog:
Flickr: Photos from starfeeder.com (http://www.flickr.com/photos/starfeeder/)

One thing I noticed too and this may be a good tip for some of you, when I found some images from google and added them to some of my posts, I noticed I started getting a lot of hits from google image searches. An image that I previously found on google images now comes up with my site being first :)

Kinda a neat an innocent way to help organic traffic to your blog/site

I have Flickr that I post photo's to infrequently, but photo's for my site are hosted with the site. With 100G of webspace and 1T of bandwidth, I'm hoping there will never be a problem.
