Goals: I want to share my opinions and share what I learn about money, investing, and the like. Makeing some money would be nice too
Design Goals: simple, easy to read, professional
Audience: anyone wanting to learn about money, investing, and similar topics

I really like the content of your blog. I would maybe put the heading of each different article in another color so it pops out at you more. Other than that I think you have a great idea going.

Welcome to TBE. Overall the blog looks good although you do have two links to "My Net Worth". I would like to see you try to shorten your "about" page and compbine it with the "My Goals, My Net Worth, and My Plan."

Just a suggestion :)

I didn't notice the duplicate link, thanks. I'll have to give some thought into combining those pages. If I combine them, then the single page would not be shorter it would be a much longer page. hmm....

It looks good, about the color, adding some type of passive background in your header behind your title would fix that problem. Also when ever I hover over the top my networth link the header expands.

It looks a bit bland to me, I would add some light colors to enhance the page. I also think that there a bit too many columns, maybe you could simplify it? Other than that, I think it's generally well put together.

useful content, just that you might want to consider

1. placement of the various sections on the right (me thinks recent posts / comments should be given more weight than "YOUR LINK HERE" or whatever

2. the RSS thing is too big. if somoene wants to subscribe, he / she will know how to find it.

3. maybe shades or lines can be used to separate the sections.

yeah, if you combined the pages, it would be huge, but it might be a good way to pick out the pieces that really need to be said and see what you can let others find out through reading your blog :)
