WordPress Thoughts

I recently started a blog to share the thoughts of WordPres (http://wpthoughts.com)s users. Basically we provide reviews of plugins and themes, as well as we're starting a series of content to help people modify a theme for themselves if they find a theme they like but there are small annoyances with it.

We also allow anyone to sign up and contribute to the blog to get your thoughts heard the way you want them to be heard.

Can you please give me a review of all aspects, content, theme, and anything else?

I really like the white with the bluish, greenish color heading. It is nice on the eyes. I have bookmarked the site to read over some of the posts. I seen a few interesting ones but don't have the time at the moment to read them over.

Looks good. Two changes I would make would be to move both your feed and your search closer to the top of the page.

Thanks for your wonderful input into the site. I'm looking at implementing many of the things that have been mentioned.

Once I have finished the updated theme, I'll hopefully see a much more intuitive layout for some things like the search box and feed location.

Also, I'm planning to submit it to WordPress Planet
(http://planet.wordpress.org/) once I have a fairly large number of articles setup and worked out a good posting balance and so to help benefit the community.

I agree with the suggestions made. It looks like it will be a useful blog for plenty of people.

That's a potentialy great blog, my one advice would be to change the theme, i would recomend Wpdesigner's latest theme, it should work well on your blog.

Also, I'm planning to submit it to WordPress Planet

Trust me, it's a very slim chance if any to get added there, they are very picky (and rightly so).

I guess our blog has some similarities, so all the best with it, have fun!

Trust me, it's a very slim chance if any to get added there, they are very picky (and rightly so).
I can only try and be knocked back. And if it does get approved well so be it, it would mean I have to work at it very hard, and rightly so. A person can only try, its not like I have to pay to be accepted, and I'm sure that a totally independant voice can only be more helpful to Planet WordPress.

Just wanted you to know that I agree with your assessment. I like your theme (except for what I mentioned before) and as far as submitting to Planet WordPress, the worst that could happen is that they would decline your offer. If you can handle rejection, there's no reason to not try... you may just get accepted!

I've updated the theme to move the feed and search further up the page. But thanks for your encouragement, it means so much to me.

Since I'm new to blogging and wordpress, I had some help getting my blog set up. I DID use a template for the general design, but created my own header.

Cool content if I may say, But you can add addional colors or Background images (header & Body)... It's too simple, but the contents of the blog can compensate.
