Of all the stats that Google Analytics gives me (and I'm getting more and more addicted to them by the day) the one that I place the most value on is the Average time on site.
My rationale for this is that if I'm writing interesting content, then people will stick around to read it for longer.
Currently my monthly average time is 3 minutes and 7 seconds.
How about yours?

Is there a way to see monthly average? I am looking at mine right now and I can see the averages daily and am feeling lazy and don't want to add them together and divide by 30 :D

I think if you click on the date range in the top right corner you can set it to display from a date to another and all the graphs / charts on the screen will update to reflect those dates.
My dashboard screen is set to show the last month's worth of data, including (under "site usage") the average time stat.

3:43 on my personal blog, and 1:26 on Xbox Living.
That makes sense to me, since the posts on the Xbox blog are much shorter.
