I've thought about going with Pay Per Post but I'm curious as to what everything thinks about it? Not the company or the service, but your thoughts on blogs that use it?
Personally, I don't mind seeing it on a blog as long as every other post isn't a payed one. If you're maybe doing one a week, I don't see a problem with that.
I've heard a lot of people really dislike seeing these types of posts and say that it really discredits a blog. Maybe when visitors see this the first thing they think is "this guy's in it for the money."

For me, in addition to the paid-vs-nonpaid ratio, it depends on how the posts are written. I actually Stumbled a paid post a few days ago, just because of how it was written. But if you can tell that the writer has no real enthusiasm for the subject, it's a lot harder to respect.

Eh, it depends, but I generally don't care for them, simply because people tend to go overboard after making a few bucks with it. If I am a regular reader of a site and I see a well-done paid post that comes across as an honest review, is consistent with the topic at hand, it's no big deal. But if I notice someone posting every week or regularly pitching some product or talking about something that doesn't really fit in with the rest of the comment, I'm turned off and will likely go elsewhere.
I dislike this and lose my trust in that blog. I consider this to be prostitution. Sorry, but this is how I see it as a reader and also a blogger. I have ads. But my content is MY content. If I would write about something to be paid for this, I think I'd lie to my readers and it wouldn't be fair. So no, I don't like seeing this.

For me it all depends on how it's written, some gifted blogger can somehow review an apple and make it sound so interesting, as if they were reviewing'posting about the subject without getting paid for it. :)

Really, an ad is a one sided completely biased representation of something. However a paid review when done well, presents both the good and the bad (assuming there are both) sides of the product or site. If you don't view having ads on your site as lying to your readers I don't see why you'd see a paid review that way.
I've written lots of paid reviews and I don't think I've written any without at least a few critical points. I've completely slammed sites and products before as well and that hasn't seemed to hurt my chances of getting the next paid review and it certainly doesn't keep me from getting paid for it. Basically to me there's no reason to lie or even present what I'm reviewing in a positive light.

I don't like it when the blog is showing the "Review Me" or "Pay Per Post" buttons and prices in their sidebars.
If you occasionally sell out and write a post for the sake of the cash, that's okay. I can turn a blind eye to that. But if you're holding a banner to the world declaring the cost of your opinion, it's a little too blunt to be fully ignored. xD

They don't tend to bother me however I usually prefer to know at the start as I'll most likely ignore the post. The occasional one here and there isn't a problem at all but when a blog starts having more paid reviews than standard posts then I'll probably start aiming for the unsubscribe button.

I don't mind paid for content so long as two things are done. Firstly, the blogger has to be completely clear and disclose the fact that the post has been paid for. They shouldn't just slip it in, it should be completely obvious. Secondly, the review should be honest. I think John Chow does a decent job of dealing with paid reviews. They are honest (sometimes brutally) and he completely discloses that it is paid for.
I've added a line to my About page to say that I don't do paid for content though, I don't think it suits my blog. It may suit some others though.

I think there is a thin line between getting paid to review a product and reviewing a product to get paid. The way I make sure I dont cross that line is I always write the post first and then think if I can monetize it, I do the same thing with all the PA bloggers cause really their are affiliates for everything.

I don't mind seeing them if the review is in depth and does not look so much like a paid review.
