Hi All,
My company, Triggit, is just finishing the building of a tool that enables a publisher to make changes to their site without having to edit the source code. Looking at the site in your browser you can point and click to add things like pictures, videos widgets and ads.

We are curious how helpful this would be as an ad placement tool. For instance on of the things we built is an interface into the the CJ api that lets you quickly search through their database for an ad and then just drag it into a spot on your site WYSIWYG. You don't need to use embed codes any more. Would this be helpful? How about as an in-text tool? Highlight a word on your site and with a click you could make it your affiliate link to amazon, cj, or whatever.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Zach

It sounds like a great tool, if it is what I'm imagining. You can edit a page from the page itself?

I love the Windows Live Writer tool because it lets me write my posts onto a backdrop of my design. Once I publish though, I'm back to using the WordPress backend for making edits. Your tool sounds a great replacement, at the least. :)

One thing I would like is a way of easily adding a few custom-defined CSS classes, e.g. My images all have a class of either "fl" or "fr", and I have quite a few classes that I use regularly. It doesn't take long to load the code view and add them manually, but if I could just highlight a few words and add the class through a menu, I'd be delighted! :)

Michael,
Thanks for the feedback. At the moment the functionality of our tool is still really limited to just dropping in pictures and video ,but we are certainly looking at incorporating ideas like you described.

I sent over an invite on PM if you want to try it out.

Thanks for the invite. I tried it out. One thing you nailed was the installation. It took seconds! :)

Seems like a great start. I tried out Flickr, and it was very easy to do. I know it's still early days, but if you can continue adding features like that to it, it could end up a very impressive tool. :D
