What are the things you hate the most when you visit a blog?

I have a lot but one of them is whenever I read something thanking or counting her/his visitors, it annoys me.

Give me a better entry to read! hehehe.

How about yours? I'll add more later.

When it's over done like, "Hello. Wow. I got 65 comments on my previous entry."

and that's it. heh.

I've never blogged about thanking visitors because visiting their sites and returning comments is one way for me to say thank you.

Well, it's just me.

- too much navel-gazing
- content that's not unique or interesting. You're not a special snowflake because you started a programming blog and have a very shallow understanding of lisp :mad:

Bad content (copied and not unique) a stock theme and many ads. And some title like "How to make 10 millions in 1 night' or similar crap.

I would have to say blogs that are filled with Spam...those are awful to try to read.

I hate where people pick a background color and the text is really hard to see. That drives me nuts. I mean can't they see that you cannot read the text?

- Blogs FILLED with ads.
- Large RSS Feeds. If I want to subscribe, I know where it's at! Kthx!

ads spam. hate them the most.

the rest (like design) are skill limited, even for uploading new themes.

Missing post dates. I'd like to know at least how frequent the poster blogs. If it's too little or too much then I probably won't subscribe.

A bad design that makes you hunt for things eg. the search box or categories. These days the in thing is to have it at the very bottom of the blog which is a bit frustrating when there are 5 500 word essays to scroll through first!

Bad design which makes blog impossible to read or to easily navigate.
And spam, spam, spam.
