I don't want this site to have all of these guidelines and strict rules. I imagine as the community grows the rules will evolve too.
But seeing as though I had to ban our first member, I figured I would put this out there.
I want this site to be a friendly and welcoming place, but by all means, be yourself. I don't want anyone to feel like they need to filter themselves but I also don't want someone telling the other to "fuck off".
We are all adults here and I actually think those below 30 here are in the minority. Use common sense.
Just be civil and have respect for each other. That's really it :)
....for now....

I wish all legal-mumbojumbo was written like that :)
Come on lawyers take a lesson...
^^ It's not the lawyers fault. It has to be done a certain way or there are loopholes. Plus it has to be so that a reasonably prudent person would understand such and such so the more explanation there is, the better.

I totally agree that the site should be friendly and welcoming. I can't stand trolls who seem to get a kick out of conflict and putting down other people - there is way too much of that in the world. That is why I like the internet - if we all keep talking and sharing then the world will be a better place.:)
I have just read the above, I feel a bit nauseous!! But I do mean it :)

edit:
Here are my proposed guidelines:
don't be an idiot
that should be enough
can I show my twig and giggleberries or is that frowned upon in the guidelines? I think it should be specifically encouraged.
Here are my proposed guidelines:
don't be an idiot
that should be enough Oh. Damn. Ignore my first comment.
