has any one worked with linkworth before? i signed up my 1st blog with them a long time ago and finally last month i got one linkpost requested (paid blog post). even though i prefer linkads so it can be a monthly/continuous thing, i was surprised someone finally asked me for something lol.

anyways, after that, these past few weeks i've been getting one at a time at a steady rate. has this happened to anyone else? maybe the advertisers are more likely to pick people who have already done one before? just wanna know if anyone has experience with this so i can tell if im just getting lucky lately or if its gonna get better

I haven't had any experience with them. As more time goes on though, I'd love to hear about your experiences!

Definately let know hoe it goes. i actually had someone from linkworth leave a comment on my blog suggesting I check them out recently. Which I did and some of the language they used on their site worried me a bit. Some of their schemes were all about essentially losing editorial control of your blog, at least for a single post, which I don't think serious bloggers should even consider. I'd also guess that when it comes to getting paid for links, they are going to have a smaller group of advertisers so the chances of selling each spot are less. But I'm just speculating, their copy put me off signing up.

?? losing editorial control of your blog? thats a pretty big statement to make. its the same idea as all paid blog posts - they want a min of # words, at least # links and linked to certain urls, with certain anchor text. only one of them had anymore to say and that was just that they prefer for a positive review but its okay if its not positive.

as for text links and eveyrthing else, you make a listing, and then when a person offers you accept or decline and also on your listing you put how much and where the link will be

I got accepted a few weeks ago but I've yet to really do anything with them. I've heard mixed reviews.

well i'm really liking them so far since i just got 2 more requests today =) i'm thinking maybe the advertisers like people who have already done a few. one downside is the 70/30 splits. its better than 50/50 over at textlinkads, but its still quite a bit once you get up to higher numbers. i just decided my price and then added until my 70% still gives me what i want. then i though tmaybe its too high - but good thing i didnt change it cause now i'm makin money =)

It is a strong statement, but I definately got that impression from some of their copy. It may be more reflective of their copy (or my cynicism) than their practices, but it's just the impression I came away with. I think this did it:
What do you get with LinkPost?

*
REVIEW
A third party review about your company, its products, or services by a respected blogger with a loyal following.
*
CONTROL
Control. You may set length requirements, keyword linking, review topic, and whether or not the review will be "positive" in nature.
*
PLACEMENT
Inbound, embedded links that can help build your link popularity and lead to better placement in the search results.

From the "advertiser" section of the site (LinkWorth | LinkPost - Paid Blog Reviews (http://www.linkworth.com/products/advertiser-linkpost.php)). Emphasis added by me. The same goes for their Link BB product (LinkWorth | LinkBB - Billboard Ads - Hosted Content (http://www.linkworth.com/products/advertiser-linkbb.php)).

I just don't like it, it's a slippery slope.
