Have you ever stayed at a blog becuase it was pretty?

No. But if I didn't already know that the content stunk, then I've certainly given it the benefit of a doubt and stayed around a little longer. :)

I'm sure I probably have on occasion, telling myself that the site should be good as it looks good. But then I add to the feed reader and if I find I don't like the content the site is removed.

I wouldn't stay if the content stinks, but a well designed blog can keep me longer. It just recently happened when I stumbled about this blog ( http://www.vikiworks.com/). But it has some nice content as well.

I`d like to add another thought to this. Since most of us use feed readers you most often do really visit the blog in question only to leave a comment.

I for one generally don`t bother much about the design as long as the content is interesting. But I of course like good looking designs as well and want my own blog to look good too ;).

I wouldn't stay somewhere just because of it's looks but they sure do help pull me in, unless I was given a link to some content that I was already interested in.

@chimeric: I only use my feed tools to scan through titles and if something sounds good enough, I will visit the site to read/comment anyway.

I've come across a few that looked very nice, and I didn't have time to read them so I instantly added them to my feed reader expecting the content to match the design. Unfortunately, after a few new posts came in, I realized that the site was all looks and no substance :(

I have to admit to bookmarking some sites purely for their looks, then briefly looking them over now and again in the hope that some interesting content will appear on them.

Well, I've had folks tell me my blog was pretty, but I'm fairly sure they stay/ return for the content.

I'm a sucker for pretty, myself. A nice-looking blog will have me looking for awhile, anyway.
