Well I created an account today to help me manage my todo list. I will probably take SarahG's advice and the night before, create my list, and then in the morning I will make sure I have nothing to add from it. Since adding it though I have finished 10 of my items.
To do list, simple, easy, fast, sharable: Ta-da List (http://www.tadalist.com)

I had an account but forgot username and password. I just created new one today and give it another try!

I didn't know you could share your to-do list. It isn't very exciting I'm afraid!

My To-Do list is just a giant dry erase board in my dorm. though it usually becomes a to-do to do my to-do so its kinda degraded into a board of random drawings and comments:)

I have a TaDa list account, but I don't use it anymore. I hated having to navigate to the page to see my list, so I opted for Google Notebook inside of iGoogle. It's always right there beside me on my homepage. :)

I use Vitalist (http://vitalist.com). It's a lifesaver for me. There are loads of todo list apps out there, but I love this one because it's well designed (Simple yet colorful), fast loading, and built for the GTD methodolgy. Very nice to use. :)
I think I have a BackPack account from 37 signals somewhere. Are the TaDa lists really that different? They just seem like a stripped down version which you can share.

I've tried on screen lists in the past, it didn't work! I've tried using dotproject, setting up a local WP blog and writing out work to do on that etc. I've now just got a dedicated note pad (or 3) to write a list in and add to, then as I have more on the list than crossed off I turn the page and start afresh.
I've got a little white board too but I just write the names of clients on there expecting work. I try not to look at it too often though ;)

Well I have a backpack account too, but it is slightly different. There you create pages and a calendar and you can send yourself reminders. This is more good for list items that you want to accomplish that day I think.

Whilst we're on a 37 signals topic, anyone here using Basecamp?

We do use it within company I'm working for and just upgraded to Plus plan, but we were using Basic plan for around a year now.
What do you wanna know about it?

Is it worth paying for? But now I'm guessing that since you have upgraded in paying plans already that it is.
I would much prefer a self hosted solution though with a one off fee.

Why don't you try activeCollab | Project Management and Collaboration Tool (http://activecollab.com/) ?
It shouldn't be much different than basecamp.
