How many people put pictures or photos on their blog? What about just a good old photoblog? I know I have put a few pictures up on my website but they are usually just to show something off really quick like this Linux: Sign Edition - Tetsujin's Blog (http://tetsujin.metamudcreations.com/index.php?/archives/60-Linux-Sign-Edition.html) Beyond that it is just random pictures even though I do have a few picture only posts.

So what do you guys do? To photo or no photo?

All good ways to use images, a little harsh using a flat file gallery though :P

well it was a gallery i created back in 2002.

that time, webhosting come with PHP but no MySQL.

the only choice i had was to have details read from a text file to run the database.

5 years later, i integrated with Wordpress and enhance it with CSS instead of tables and that's where it is now. :)

Well, that is one of those moments when KISS applies. And if it works, don't fix it right?

I do like to perk up my posts with images, but I try to keep most of them small and meaningful so they don't bring my readers' browsers to a crawl. Occasionally, we do post larger photos and we also do have a few gallery-style pages that MLW has built with Picasa.

I think if it complements the post, photos can be good. On one of my blogs, it is primarily photos as it is something for family and friends who want to see pictures of everyone.

Yeah, kind of. Its to let them stay in touch with us since we don't live anywhere near them. You can see it in my sig (wandering family)
