Republish your first post

I've been plowing through and revamping my category structure this weekend and in doing that, I came across my very post. The one that got me started in this wacky world of blogging. I decided to republish this first post yesterday and then today I offered up a friendly challenge (http://just-thinkin.net/2007/09/republish-your-first-post-a-friendly-challenge/) to anyone who's been out there a year or more to republish their first post. I thought this might be a good place to promote this idea of mine. Just for fun of course.

If enough folks participated and got back to me, I'd even take the time to publish a "first posts" list.

Hey, no problem there. There's no time limit, the list is ongoing. I think it would be kind of neat that I'd still be adding folks to the list as they get a year under their "blogging belts". It makes those first posts all that more special. ;)

haha. i just realized both posts were on the 9th day of the month.

one being March, the other being April.

so next update would be another 30 months from the latest post. :D

C'mon, that's a great first post and a strange but neat gadget to boot. Go ahead and republish it in a new post with an appropriate introduction, put a link back to the "challenge" post at my blog (so I can keep track who's done this so they can be added) and I'll add you to the list. It's all for fun anyway as well as spreading the linklove around since I use DoFollow.

The idea is to republish that first post for all to see. ;)

Nothing wrong with just saying hi. I did the same thing actually...I'm just wordy as all get out. Not too sure if that is a problem or not. Guess it depends on whose listening. :)

I actually just had my one year blogaversary (http://quirkyjessi.blogspot.com/2007/10/happy-blogaversary-quirky.html) earlier this month and spent some time going back through things and posting links to some of my first few entires. The first actual one on Blogger was:

Alrighty, so I've been using a new Xanga account for the last few days, but decided to switch over to this before I got too far along. I'll be posting the entries I had there shortly. For now, I find myself exploring all the options here. I haven't decided if I like it yet or not, but I think it'll do....

Exciting, huh? Lol. I had some in depth posts that month, though, and boy have things changed there this year. It's interesting looking back at this sort of stuff. <3

When I looked back at my first post a few years ago, I was kind of disappointed that not much has changed in my life since then. Still fighting the same battles!! Grrrrrr
