Hello,
I run this Web Directory Review Site (http://www.webdirectoryreviews.com/), using wordpress and was wondering if it still is considered as blog or not ?

Welcome to TBE. At first glance I was going to say no, but I see that you do allow comments. The way it is set up though, it looks more like you are using wordpress as a CMS than a standard blog.

bunny, if you look at my site - would you think the same? :)

i'm just using Wordpress to publish articles, released in chronological order and allowing comments.

quite often i desribed my site as "a blog yet not a blog".

I just had a discussion with my friends on what makes a blog a blog.

here's the link Lowyat.NET -> What makes a blog a blog? (http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/514873) :)

If I visited that site without knowing, I wouldn't say it looks like a blog. While I recognize WP there, as ses said, it seems more like a CMS then a blog.

The question is: do you want it to look/feel like a blog or not?

I think it looks like a blog although your tabular format is different from most.

IMO, what makes a blog different from a regular website is that the pages (except for maybe a few) aren't static. The ability to post new content and date when it's posted makes it easy for your readers to keep up with what's new at your site. I see that your site does that so it looks like a blog to me.

One thing you might want to do is get a feed and put a "subscribe to my feed " button near the top of your sidebar. Good web directories are something that webmasters are always on the look out for. I think you have a good idea here. :)
