Is there anyone here who doesn't show their date on their posts? I was just reading a blog and was wondering when the post was written and I could only guess because the date on the comments.

I agree with you 100%. I don't like blogs much that don't have dates. It confuses me!

Same here. I like to know when it was published, especially when it is something that depends on a time factor.

Yeah I like dates and I use dates. I'd say someone that doesn't use dates is only trying to hide the fact that their blog is updated like once a month. :)

Well this blog is updated sometimes multiple times a day I found out after further research. So who knows! Maybe they just didn't think about it :S

I find it annoying sometimes when blogs have a heading for the date, and include multiple posts that same day after the heading.
A few times I've found myself wondering when something was posted, looking for the date, and not finding it -- only to later discover that it was three posts up.
Not a major issue, I guess.
I like the date on the post. I don't like knowing if I'm commenting on and old post or not.

It depends. Is the content time-dependant, or is it an article? If it's an article, I'd leave the date off. If it's just me blogging about how much the laetst movie sucked worse than that one time... then I"ll include the date.

My take on some bloggers is that they just don't know what is 'in' for blogging right now. They took them off for a reason, one we don't know and they don't realize that most bloggers like them left on. If they are updating all the time it is odd they would remove them. I imagine they think people might not want to read older articles?

I think if you hover over the blog title you can see the date it was posted but that is a pain!

I didn't even think about checking to see if they had a permalink structure. Smart girl! But still, definitely a pita.

Sometimes when I stumbled upon a blog post, it's important to have date stated there so that I know if I should comment or not because who knows the entry was posted 1 year ago?
