I would move your header graphic closer to the content. It sort of looks out of place where it is right now.

In writing your content I guess I would make a change. Most of your posts seem quite negative. So, if you keep a couple of quotes in mind it may help with your writing.

1. You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.
2. When life hands you a lemon... make lemonade.

Even though your topic is negative, find a way to turn the negatives into positives. Let your readers know how to make wrongs into rights with the emphasis on the rights.

Thanks for the feedback. I think maybe moving the text down a bit in the header image might give the desired effect?

As for the content I'm not a big believer in "mealy-mouthing" things. In other words I find it much more effective, not to mention well received, when I can simply say what I intend. I will however see if I can tone it down a bit and make it that much more palpable to a general audience.

I wouldn't say that taking a positive stance on a negative issue is mealy mouthed. Another quote that comes to mind is that you are either part of the solution or part of the problem. If you see a problem and only document it, you are a complainer. If you see a problem and try to change it, you are a solver... or at least someone who tries.

I don't see how moving the text down would help. Because of the placement of your header, the site looks off-center. Maybe you should try looking at your template in a grid? That might help you find better placement of your elements.

articles and comments summary should be placed higher up, not after that obscenely huge Amazon ad and a bunch of other stuff.

header needs work.

posts need proper seperation.

needs work on overall color / layout.

content is fine but it's loooooooooong. instead shoving the full content at readers, i suggest you use excerpts instead. so people would get a better overview of your topics with minimal scrolling.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Shyflower - We'll just have to disagree with the tone of the content. As far as placement of the header I agree completely. I'm working on a new design and once that is completed I'll be switching things out.

Goldfries - I'm considering doing away with the recent posts, and recent comments from the sidebar altogether and moving them to their own page. What do you mean by "proper separation" of the posts? Funny you should say something about excerpts as I've just begun doing that. The first 3 posts show full, but the remained on the front page are excerpts.

As for the layout and color that's an ongoing battle.

Thanks again!

ok, by seperation, i meant that it's not easy to differentiate your post from the previous.

by the looks of it, it's mainly because the TITLE of a post is in close proximity to the previous posts' "POSTED IN" details.

having a more spacing or some graphic would help.
