I remember reading about it just a day or two ago. It's Windows software, and the only difference I noticed between it and DarkRoom is that it uses .NET 1.1, while DarkRoom uses .NET 2. I didn't install it then, because when I went looking to see which version of .NET I had, I forgot that Micrsoft actually tacks "Microsoft" onto all of its folders (i.e., I couldn't find the damned thing)

I REALLY miss writing on my old, DOS-only, hard-drive-free 486! If any of you know which software I'm talking about, please toss me a link!

Is it a photo software?

Nope. It's very simple writing software with a lovely black screen.

Can you send me a link to the darkroom software? I'll search around and see what I can find.

It's OK, Sara. I'm downloading .NET 2.0 as I write this.

Thanks for the help, though. :)

Ok sorry! but yeah you should definitely upgrade anyway! I think I upgraded a few years ago :-"

I've seen software that requires 1.1, specifically. That's why I was hesitant to upgrade; I wasn't sure if 2.0 would replace 1.1.

Yeah, I had a 486 with NO hard disk. I had to make a start-up disk for it on one of those HUGE old floppies. It had a black and white monitor, too. Oh! And a dot matrix printer where you chose the font via the printer, rather than through the computer. And that's what I used all though college.... 'til I dropped out... In any case, I did a LOT of writing, in monochrome, on really simple software.
