Footnotes Plugin

When is the right time you use this Footnotes Plugin (http://www.google.com.ph/search?q=footnote+plugin+wordpress&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a)? It annoys me to death. Using it doesn't make sense.

I hate footnotes in books, I hate them online.

If I need to source something I will just do it within the post or add a special note at the end. I guess they would have their uses, but I don't think I will have a need for them.

I couldn't see myself using this either. Would probably just add my own note at the bottom to link to any cited content.
