I've been using Sitemeter (http://www.sitemeter.com). What's yours?

Reinvigorate/Snoop and Performancing Metrics.

Blog Tracker and Google Analytics.

Though if I want serious and detailed stuff, I run the raw logfiles through Web Trends

Google Analytics (And my host automatically has an old Urchin stats running, but I never use it...)

Why do some of you use 2? What is different about the second option? :?

Performancing Metrics has easier to understand short-term stats, and is much, much better at telling me where my visitors are from, geographically speaking. Reinvigorate/Snoop lets me know, in real time, when someone is on my site, and which page they're on. (It's sort of like an internet intruder alarm!) The latter is also better at charting long-term stats.

Fair enough. For short term stats in GA, I just change the date range to the past day or two, and then go have a look at my most popular content, referrers, keywords etc. How much better can PM be?

As for geographically, I've never really used that data, so I can't comment. My site isn't localised. :)

I don't use one. I could really care less about having one.

Statcounter for real time stats.
Google Analytics for everything else.

For my site (on TypePad), PM is way, way better than GA, because I can't get GA to track stats, at all.

The geography stuff is only important to me because it's harmlessly stalkeriffic! ;)

I have Mint. I find it to be very good at it's job.

Wouldn't expect anything less from Shaun Inman anyway ;)

Just sitemeter and google analytics. I like sitemeter for a quick look throughout the day as a snapshot of activity. When there is a bit of a spike in traffic it is nice to see where people are coming from. Plus, a public sitemeter is good for potential advertisers to check out and saves me from having to email info on stats.

But analytics is great for more detailed information and analyzing trends.

It's free. You've no excuse not to. ;)

Sam - Ahh, Typepad don't let you edit the core template files, do they? Just the CSS?

I've got a basic TypePad account, Michael. I can't even directly edit CSS.

I have AWStats, the WordPress statistics plugin (using the WP API) and Feedburner, plus the free stats at mybloglog.

Nothing reports the same thing!

I use both Site Meter (http://www.sitemeter.com/) and Google Analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/). I use SM for getting short term glimpses of my traffic, and Analytics for a more detailed look.

My own plugin (http://wiki.splitbrain.org/plugin:statistics) for realtime stats (created when Perfomancing Metrics was offline for a while)

Google Analytics for long term stats

103 Bees (http://103bees.com/) for search term analytics

Interesting. Why? :naughty:

I just don't care. That used to be all I cared about when I first started, and now I just don't. I blog for me, not to see how many hits I get or how many comments!

I use StatCounter, Google Analytics, and PMetrics.

I just use the free version of PMetrics and cannot set any IP blocking with the free version so it actually logs my visits which sucks. I may drop them. I can block my own visits with a cookie with StatCounter.

StatCounter is good for up to the second stats, but PMetrics also gives this same ability and is a little easier to navigate/read.

I like Analytics, but I've not found a way to block my own visits. I don't have a static IP with my ISP, so I'm not sure it's possible? Maybe someone can assist there?

You can set a cookie in your browser which blocks your visits from being logged. The cookie setter is kind of hard to find, though.

GoStats.com | Web Stats Hit Counter Free Site Traffic Analysis (http://gostats.com) is my favorite. Probably one of the best real-time stats programs out there.
