Do you have a photo gallery on your blog or do you use flikr? I don't have either. When I post pictures I typically edit them on my computer and just store them in my file system.

I have two galleries: one for photos/webcam shots and one for drawings/paintings. More often than not, the images I use in the blog proper don't go into the galleries, and the stuff in the galleries doesn't make it to the blog. There are exceptions, though.

I store all of my photos locally but ones I want to share I upload to Flickr. Then, there's a Flickr/CakePHP gallery thing that I wrote (http://www.sitepoint.com/article/photo-gallery-cakephp-flickr) that I use to create a nice gallery of my kids that we send family to (I even added lightbox script to make it cooler!).

I don't share many pictures with my blog, but I have a couple places online for my photos as well as just storing them locally.

When it comes to personal photos, I usually just keep them on my computer, organized in iPhoto. When I want to share them, I have a photo gallery I set up on one of my domains that friends / family can access to view them.

For my more artistic photos, I put them on my deviantArt page (and some will probably also go on my business website as well to showcase the photography side).

If I incorporated them into my blog I'd need a whole other place to upload/store them ... and I'm bad enough keeping the ones I already have up to date!

I guess I don't want to give visitors to my site such an easy way to escape my site by providing a flickr widget that whisks them off to flickr if they click on it.
But I love pictures in blogs and sites. So I use regular un plugged in php photogallery scripts to display them.

I have no photos to share. I need to go get a camera but I am cheap and lazy. :)

No photo gallery. As Ban, I don't even own a camera, but I should get it soon.

I used to use my own gallery script, but I found I get more exposure of photos on Flickr so I tend to put them there now and just use the widget.

Once I get around to working with the Flickr API then I'll probably use this to display and control the photos on my blog and perhaps pull the photos into my own gallery design (although that day will probably never happen!).

I hear that by using a third party such as Flickr you're potentially able to drive extra traffic to your blog via tags (similar to youtube) but I've yet to really test it out.

I would like to put up an actual photo gallery similar to how Shoemoney does his but It's not very high on the priority list.

That is correct, it works.

I don't want my personal pics on my blog, but I am going to be doing a private blog for and need a photo gallery plugin. Anybody know of a good wordpress one?

Cool. I'd like to add in pictures of some of my higher affiliate checks (for credibility), but I need to figure out how to do it without looking like a tool.

There is: WPG2 - Wordpress Gallery2 Plugin - Main Page (http://wpg2.galleryembedded.com/index.php?title=Main_Page)

I haven't used it in over a year now. the initial release was a little buggy but this one may be better.

For the longest time, we simply uploaded most of our photos to Kodak EasyShare Gallery when we wanted to share whole sets or albums instead of individual pics for posts. But lately, MLW has been working with Picasa quite a bit lately. Only downside is that the pages created with that don't have the same look as the rest of our site.

One of the sites I'm developing will have a photo gallery for people in my local gaming group to upload pictures from their games to the main site.

It's kinda ironic since I'm going to be using WordPress as a traditional CMS for that site, and I'm even thinking of offering blogs on the site via WordPress MU.
