I've had very little luck generating traffic through blog carnivals, but yesterday, out of genuine interest, I signed up for the RIP II (http://www.stainlesssteeldroppings.com/?p=745) reading challenge, and I've already gotten some hits out of it.
I was wondering two things:
1. The question in the title of this thread, albeit applied to even the niched AND the non-techie.
and
2. See here for the question about carnivals, challenges, etc (http://www.theblogexperiment.com/blog-forum/showthread.php?p=4975#post4975).

Oh this should be two thread questions definitely. What would you consider a horror novel? I read a lot of books about serial killers. I don't know if that classifies though.

By MY definition, no. But by the RIP II guidelines (which basically include any kind of "scary" books), your serial killers would fit right in.
Crap. Do I need to delete it and make it two threads?

Nope don't delete it. You can edit your post i think and remove the second part and then post a new one. I would do it for you but it's your question so you get credit!

I used to. I have read a few horror novels but don't read too much any more. Well not novels anyway, most of my reading these days consists of Web Design books and Blogs.
I should get back into reading soon, it's nice to have that break from staring at my screen.
