I understand about rating threads but I noticed one of my posts was commented on and "rated" under the "Latest reputation received" section of my CP. I'm wondering how this was done and will I be able to do that eventually.
Or am I overlooking a button or something? :)

It's called reputation (http://www.theblogexperiment.com/blog-forum/showthread.php?t=249)
The idea is you give it to someone when they start a great thread, or give a great reply for example. Or if you see someone always helping people out, you can give them reputation. It's a nice way to say thanks and also receive it!

Okay, one more newbie question then I have to get lunch and get started on a post. When will I be able to upload my own photo for an Avatar?
Just wondering.

You can do it now. You needed 20 posts and you've got more than that now :)

Sheesh, no wonder I'm so tired. :)

How will I know if I get a reputation? Or i haven't received any reputation yet so that's why I don't know what it's like. :p

Click on "User CP", doorlight. Any rep you've gotten will show up, there.
