Most Wordpress blogs come standard with the Meta data in the sidebar. I'm referring to : admin, login, register, etc. I've seen a lot of blogs that keep that information there and I don't quite understand why. Do you still have yours there and if so...why?
I read a post on another blog about how stupid it was to leave that on. And I realized they were right and removed it. Now whenever I see that data on another blog. I always think "how unprofessional". What do I know?

I do for an admin logged in. However it's not available for public view. In fact I have a few extras showing as logged in. Saves time as the links are right there.
A couple of sites have it simply because it was in the theme and I've not bothered to remove it, probably why a lot of people have it there, especially if they're too afraid to edit the theme file. Delete a div and the whole theme can go mad!

I took it out. I didn't want people to think they had to have a login to read certain portions of the blog or to make a comment.

Well, what do you know? After all this time there's always something I miss. I've always had it at the bottom of the sidebar and never even thought about removing it. Now isn't that just like a man to miss the obvious.
Perhaps I'll just drag it out of there. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? :D

i removed it.
what's the point of having a login link when people aren't suppose to login other than yourself? :)
as for the rest of the information, either i don't need them or i'll place them somewhere.
