Ok, I have heard of the Blog Mastermind program..basically you are mentored by bloggers who make a ton of money blogging.
Well, when I started this site, something I wanted to do was try things out and "experiment" and I can report my findings so you don't have to!
Well, I joined today for a month. My investment was $75. I will report back on how it is.
anyone else doing it or have done it?

I think what they will teach is already freely available on the net HOWEVER you would cut down the time spent on learning things yourself so you would probably get a good headstart.
Any advice from probloggers would be great advice

I have not heard of it until now. At least if you are not finding it beneficial within a month, you can call it a day and you have only lost $75.
If it turns out to be good value, you can inform us and we can all sign up :)

so basically you're being mentored into making a money-making blog. :)
IMO if you're blogging to make money, yeah join them.
i personally think that a good blog is not judged by how much $$$ in makes. i've seen many sites by my countrymen, many are full-time bloggers but their content - nothing to shout about.
i've seen youths who don't earn much from blogs, not full-time bloggers BUT have far better contents.

That's what I figure..but yes I think everything would be free on the internet much like most subjects, but having it all in one place would hopefully save time and effort. I will definitely let you guys know about my progress.

I didn't sign up for the blog mastermind program simply because at the current time I don't have much extra money laying around to take a chance on something like that. However, I did download Yaro's Blog Mastermind ebook (free) and it has some good information in there. I knew a lot of it already, but nonetheless it's still good to see what others have done to kinda reinforce that the stuff they're doing does in fact work and will eventually pay off.
I think I'll write a blog article about the book.

No, not necessarily. I have been blogging for years because I enjoy it. I have started this site because I have a passion for blogging. But I'm not going to knock something I haven't tried and TBH I see nothing wrong in making money off of your blog. Just because someone makes money doesn't mean their stuff is all of the sudden crap.
Right now I know nothing about blog monetization. I hope to learn from the best if I can. Plus this is one of the purposes of this site..to be able to try things out and find out what works and what doesn't. In the future I also plan on trying out PPP and TLA, etc. I want to be able to offer more to the community so yeah, I'll be that guinea pig and share my failures and successes with everyone here and I hope others will share theirs as well!

nope, it's cool :)
Wow, Sara, you joined the blog mastermind program. I actually thought about doing that. But I'm sure you will only get out of it what you put into it. Meaning time.
I subscribe to Yaro's free newsletter and I think he does have some pretty good advice. Plus you'll get to be part of the community of like minded people. Although, you already have your own community.
I too am curious about what he actually has in the program. The program has only been around for 2-3 months so you can go back and check out all of the lessons.
I'm sure you'll know pretty soon, whether it's for you or not. I'd love to know how you like it and what if any new info your picking up.
There is nothing wrong with making money from all of your online time. Everyone has to make a living. Everyone has different views, but a big part of blogging is monetization.
If you learn about any cool techniques or topics that need to be researched more, let me know and I'll make a post about it.
Thanks for sharing this info and keep us posted. Emma:)
P.S. I just graduated from a "junior member" to a "member", I guess 30 was the magic number.

Yaro Starak wrote the program, correct? He definitely knows his stuff and I'm sure it's a good investment. I'd be willing to bet that you won't find any new techniques in Blogging Mastermind that you wouldn't be able to find surfing the internet but it's always helpful to have everything laid out in front of you. It's also helpful to hear from a top professional in the field on what works and what doesn't

Too soon to tell. Either way i will be able to write a blog post on my experiences so other people won't waste their money if it's not worth it.

Well the beginning stuff is really basic. How to choose hosting, how to help get the word out, etc. It's stuff if you have never set up a blog would be beneficial. But if you have, it's not. I'm going to ask to be pushed through the course a little faster because of my background.

mmm sounds like theyre offering probably all the basic stuff to filler the course and add content to it.

I was toying with the idea of joining this at first, but passed on it in the end. I joined the forum as a freebie, and didn't like it. And I'm not subscribed to Yaro's blog, despite the fact he does some of the best podcasts around, so it just wasn't for me... :(
I think it's a bit of a strange one. Yaro's specialty is about monetizing, and it seems to be the main selling point in his sales page, and yet the course starts off all about creating a blog. If you've just created your blog, why on earth would you be worried about monetizing?? :?
If he'd skipped the basics altogether, I think I'd have been more interested. As it is though, I imagine a lot of people would benefit from his knowledge. (And I do love his vidcasts and tuts. :D )
