I was accepted to Linkworth earlier which as I understand it is a competitor to Text-Link-Ads.

Anyone used them? Have a good or bad experience?

I use them, and refer to them as linkworthless. Like anything, it is real hit-or-miss. I know some people who sell out their links in a heartbeat, while someone with the same traffic and PR can't sell a single link at an even lower price.

That being said, I've been with them since early this year and I just received my first ad about a month ago. So, I say give it a try and see what happens. You may end up getting a few hits right away, or it may take a while, but at least it doesn't cost anything to sign up and attempt to get advertisers.

Yeah, that's what I thought. More of a "what could it hurt" mindset.

What is the deal with "rotating ads" with Linkworth? When they accepted me they recommended I enabled "rotating ads." I'm not real sure what they're referring to.

To be honest, I don't know. When I signed up, they didn't have that option, and since I only have 1 ad, I've never looked into it.

Cool, thanks for the input.

It *may* be similar to creating an advertisement zone where you have the ability to rotate advertisements within the same ad space i.e. one refresh ad #1 shows up and on your next refresh ad #2 shows up.

That's been proven to be a very effective way to push visitors past their "banner blindness".

I see. The only thing that I wonder about that would be how big of a space is needed for the rotating banners. My two sidebars are probably a little smaller than normal, so the normal 125px banner that everyone is displaying these days won't fit. I guess I'll have to email and ask.

Thanks

i just got my first link'post' today since i signed up for link ads and posts too. havent gotten any ads yet but hopefully someone will decided to put some ads on soon. the good thing is its a 70/30 split instead of 50/50 like some other places
