I had some trouble finishing a post on my Xbox Living blog this evening. Maybe the topic was a little dry, but I just wasn't finding the words to tell this story in a way that was remotely interesting.

I was about to find a different topic when I wrote the last couple of lines. By some fluke, they rhymed. I thought it was kind of funny, so I re-wrote the entire post as a high-definition poem (http://www.xboxliving.com/2007/08/20/paramount-and-dreamworks-have-something-to-say/).

If that post doesn't clearly demonstrate - I'm no poet. But that was fun to write.

Have you ever found yourself doing something similar? Just, completely changing your normal blogging habits out of boredom, or to inspire yourself?

I pretty much do whatever I feel like doing all the time. But that was cool! I read the poem, when I wouldn't have read a regular post about a gaming system.

I too read the poem, maybe it is a little more tempting to keep going through it when each line is so short.

As for my own, I guess if I had nothing to say in a way that I normally would, then I probably wouldn't say anything at all

I am a writer and use many differing styles and approaches in my work. I think you hit on something that would keep me fired up for the blogging.

That's pretty cool Colin. I may have to try that sometime...not about XBox though :D

Ha... thanks for checking it out. I just thought it was fun to write, and you've got to have some fun with this stuff, right?
