Some of you have probably seen this, but I just got it today and it's great!

The All in One SEO (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/) Wordpress plugin. It puts your page titles (very heavily SE weighted) back into your control and lets you write a description for each page or even will generate it for you. Once installed, you'll see it right on your 'write post' page in your dashboard.

I've been thinking about using this as well. Perhaps I should give it a look over.

Ooh. Thats just one more thing to add to the list tempting me to just use Wordpress and not bother looking anywhere else.

For me, that is one of the big reasons I use wordpress...all of the plugins out there.

I've heard good things about that plugin Linda, but have not used it. I rolled my own and it works pretty good.

I've been using All In One SEO since my blog's inception. It works very well and I only had to do a few minor modifications to supplement it.

I use the SEO Title Tag plugin and don't tend to worry too much about meta descriptions although I guess I should ;)

May as well, it only takes a minute or so to fill in a quality description. It certainly can't hurt :)

Only about 10% of my traffic comes from search engines, so Im going to give this a try and see if it works.

... before you know it, if done correctly, 90% or more will be organic search engine traffic ;).

I added the All in One SEO plugin and had to disable it. There was a conflict between this plugin and the Anarchy Media Player plugin. When I activated the All in One SEO Pack, the youtube videos I had it on my blog quit working. When I deactivated it the player started working again. It is also caused problems with Simpletags. The creator did fix the problem, but then my title tag were not changing. They were staying to default. It would pull the description and keywords, but not the title. The plugin certainly is not the best one.

My husband modified my blog theme instead and I learned that I really did NOT need this plugin.

Most of the WordPress plugins are not actually "needed" but they are nice to have for novice PHP coders and those who just want the convienience of "point and click".

Unfortunatley the HTML and CSS the majority of these produce make me want to kill the people who wrote them.
