One thing I've been experiencing lately is people will cover a topic shortly after I do. It gets old when it keeps happening.

When I get pressured into writing something I don't want to talk about.
I also hate it when people email or IM me telling me to Digg something. The next person to do so is going to do the digging for themselves, if they know what I mean.

I get frustrated when I'm not really able to convey my thoughts into writing. I can ramble on about anything forever but as far as writing is concerned... not so much - which is why my interest in podcasting is starting to peak :)

So are you starting to think about doing a podcast?

Yeah - I'd like to see what it's like.
I don't think that I have the resources or expertise to do it on my own though. We'll have to see what happens.

It's frustrating when you really pour yourself into a post; consider it especially pithy, funny, or thought-provoking; are sure it'll be well-received; and hope that it may get lots of comments and then...
:::sound of crickets chirping:::
Nothing.

I get really frustrated when I get comments from people just trying to be jerks.
I also get frustrated when I'm trying to turn my thoughts into words, and it just doesn't work out right.

That sucks that it's happening. Do you think they are inspired by your articles or simply just coincidence?

Yeah, me too. I find myself having to revise articles sometimes because I type how I talk and I end up just rambling for a paragraph or so. lol. It's getting easier though with every article that I write.

Have not had any comments from people trying to be jerks yet. What kind of comments have you received?

I get frustrated when I get lots of spam. I've got my blogs set up so that I can delete it, but it's still a pain in the ...er...neck.

The "jerky" comments that I get are usually about how I'm ugly, stupid, etc. It's always apparent that the people who leave the comments didn't read the blog, and there are no pictures of me on my blog, so I don't know how they're getting that from my blog. It's not usually a big deal for me, it's more like spam.

Yeah, but that's why I moderate my comments. It just gets frustrating when you're trying to be serious about something, and spammers and trolls just get in the way.

I read alot of blogs and I see people writing about the same thing alot but it usually is when something major is wrote about. I don't think I would mind this so much if the person that is doing it could maybe link back to your orginal post.

I just scored a two free passes to the Podcast Expo (http://www.newmediaexpo.com/) in Cali, not sure If I'll be able to make it on such short notice. It's all the way at the other end of the country :/
Regardless though - It looks like it could be one heck of a learning experience.

Same exact issue here. Like you mentioned though, every well thought out blog post I publish though gets easier and easier.
