PubCon 2007 (http://www.pubcon.com/) registration opens soon. Is anyone else here planning on going?

The keynote speakers this year so far are Craig Newmark (from Craigslist) and Matt Cutts (from Google). There's a ton of other great speakers signed up already as well.

We'll be staying at the Wynn. This will be my first trip to Vegas.

If you're planning on going to one convention this year it sounds like this will be the one.

I wish, but unfortunately I'll be gearing up for finals around that time. :( It's really a bummer too because Knoxville's airport has $89 (each way) flights.

Vegas is great, though. I went in March. My suggestion is go have a hamburger at the Paris cafe (the one where you can sit outside). It's the best thing I've ever had...ever. Pizza at the Italian place in the NY casino sucks and is way too expensive. And yes, I love food. :D

Sara - Hah :) As far as conventions are concerned Pubcon is fairly reasonable.

Jeremy - Not cool. Not cool. Bring her with. Just tell her that there are Louis Vuitton and Bernard K. Pastman stores just down the street.

yeah it is actually. But I am travelling to the states for three weeks in sep/oct timeframe; I don't think I could get away with leaving in december as well.

I'd love to come, but can't. Maybe one of these days I will actually be making a little income from my sites and be able to justify these things to my wife.

I missed out in this years so made sure I got an early registration for next. I can't wait. Only going for the Interactive but that's the only one im interested in so wasn't much point buying a badge for the others.

Haha, oh trust me, she would do her fair share of blowing money there. But I guess I should clarify so that she doesn't seem like the bad guy in this situation.

The reason I "can't" go is that we haven't had a vacation in about 3 years, at least nothing more than a long weekend. So, if I were to pay money to go somewhere without her, that is a big no-no. At the same time, even if she did come along, it wouldn't be quite a "vacation" with me busy most of the time.

I guess that means I better hurry up and book us a week somewhere nice so I can have a guilt-free trip to some of these conferences :D

Ressurecting this thread from the dead for a PubCon photo op :).

Danielle and I had a great time. We met SEO's, SEM's, and Web Designers from all over the world. Joe Morin also scored us some tickets to Circ De Soulei. Spamalot was sweet. The sessions were alright. The networking opportunity was awesome.

At the Wynn:

I was pretty gone at this point:

Good times. I hope some of you guys can make it out that way next year.

Looks like you had a blast. while pubcon would be nice, I think blogexpo is higher on my want list. I'll be in the states next year so the opportunity will be there!
