As the title suggests, what do you currently do for a living? Full time blogger, web designer, mailman, etc?
Inquiring minds would like to know :)

You ask, yet you don't tell us! I develop websites. I used to want to be a mailman though. Even passed the test and was offered a job. But the job offer letter came as I had just enrolled back in school.

Right now I am designing websites, but I have a few other offline ventures that help to pay the bills also.

My official title is "Technical Support Coordinator." I'm basically an IT jack of all trades at work. From what I understand though, along with my tech support position, I'll also be a doing some web design/consulting as well. So I'll really be a jack of all trades. lol
Oh, and on the side I develop my own websites. :-)

Interesting :). I had a feeling you were a web developer / designer.
I worked in corporate IT. Then I started an e-commerce business - sold it - and now I have the freedom to lounge around and blog for a couple of years.
I'm not really much of a web designer but old business contacts keep calling. The niche that I worked in was TERRIBLE in terms of web design, development, and marketing. Because of that, I've been able to ink a few SEO/SEM retainer contracts and keep polishing my skills. I have to admit it's been a little intimidating though, just yesterday I was "put in charge" of a dedicated server that one business does about $4k per day in ecommerce sales through. I'm supposed to upgrade, SEM, and optimize this and take them to the next level.

Front-end Web developer. Currently learning JavaScript, PHP and MySQL so I can handle more projects (read: do it all because I don't trust people with my code).

I help manage large employer sponsored retirement plans and help employees with their investments. When I'm not managing money, I'm managing my websites.

Sounds a lot about the main responsibilities of my position.
Are you using any kind of good software to manage your equipment inventory? We've been using just a very basic excel doc, but I want to move to something a little better.

I'm a poet, freelance writer, administrator and I provide respite care.
I'm a .NET developer by day and a freelance web designer by night.
I used to want to be a builder buy my mother said I'd get bored so I did an architecture degree. God knows how I ended up in computers.
Next I want to be a pro boxer.
Right now my husband pays the bills while I am a full-time law student.

By day logistics in company with a three letter url.
By afternoon advocate, you can tell by my blog.
By night some of the above with getting into monetizing to seed projects for advocacy.
Like Dan, I got into LAMP because I couldn't afford or trust anyone with my brand. Most people I come across face to face are a lot of talk prior, but when you get to specifics they have to go hit a blackberry to hit the Mambo and SQL forums.
Overall I also look out for the noobs online who do what we did when we were cutting our teeth, so they don't get discouraged and plain quit before their creative edges get a chance to show what they can do.

Great! Glad you're here. Keep me in mind. :)

At this point I don't know. My goal when I started was to be a Prosecutor and I do want to do that to get a taste of it but eventually I want my own firm. I'm just now sure if I want to only focus on certain areas or be a general practitioner.
A dream I'd love to see happen it to work in Sports and be a part of the Chicago Bears Organization, but alas, that is just a dream! I did apply to intern in their legal department, but haven't heard yet.
I just want to help people, so in the end, I will choose the area or areas where I think I can make the biggest impact!

Given that Lance Briggs' Lamborghini slammed into a light pole on the Edens Expressway this morning, I suspect you might be hearing from them shortly. ;)

I'm one of 2 web designers for a library book company that sells to schools and public libraries.
Being that I also love to read, it's a great fit.
And I also dabble in real estate investing, which may end up taking over full time someday. :)

I took a huge pay cut from a corporate paycheck to do my own thing. At time I miss that but the benefits make up for it!

I'm the VP of Technology at a local new media company. I basically manage the technology group, guide the direction of technology in the company, and get my hands dirty by writing code and creating the architecture behind our products and solutions.
I am a radio DJ and now a designer with her own small firm. Both jobs were something I wanted to do, so I kinda have jobs I love :)

Been running my own business since 2001. I spend most my time on backend development using PHP, but I also do a little front end xhtml/css when needed, however that's mainly my other half's job (who works with me full time). It's what I wanted to do since getting to uni in 95 and discovered that thing called the Internet ;)
As business owner I'm also the admin, secretary, receptionist and cleaner!
I used to spend my winters ski instructing in Austria too. The two jobs together are a dream come true.
