What's the difference between RSS from WP and from Feedburner?

I saw pbradish (http://www.theblogexperiment.com/blog-forum/member.php?u=22) post and he said, "This is a personal preference but instead of using the built in RSS from WP, I generally switch it over to Feedburner."

Well Feedburner actually uses your WP feed and helps you manage it so you can see how many subscribers you have among other things!

Feedburner is awesome. As Sara mentioned, you get a lot of detailed information about your subscribers, you have access to a ton of great tools and addons for your feed, etc. Just make sure that if you do use a feedburner feed that you install the redirect plugin so that every reader is counted.

stats, stats, stats. For sure Feedburner is better than the "standard" RSS feed that comes with Wordpress. It's also slightly addicting.

With the standard RSS feed that comes with WP, there isn't anyway to count your number of subscribers. So the feedburner really comes in handy with

Not to mention the fact that if you blog becomes large enough, there are publisher/advertiser options involved with Feedburner.

They also make some pretty cool widgets.

Yep, feedburner provides some nice little income on the side and requires almost no effort at all.

Could I hear more about the "redirect plugin" that Jeremy mentioned?

I am using Feedburner but I didn't use a plugin.

Actually, feedburner took over the plugin and you can set it up directly with feedsmith now

But the older plugin still works, that is what I use still.

Wow, I had no idea about this plugin. I had actually gone through my template and tried to set up all of the redirects by hand. Cool :). (installed)

Geez. I love you all people. I'm going to have a Feedburner soon. I did not have it because I thought it was just the same as Wordpress's.

Sara, is this a Weekend Wrapup material? hihihi. :P

I never knew about this and it will work with the project I am setting up.

Thanks
