I get that it's centered around the word "bar". I also get that it's not stealing content, since the posts are just snippets and they link to the original source. What I don't get is how this benefits the site owner, especially since not all of the snippets are actually about bars.

I'm also fairly certain this isn't something I signed up for.

Sara: My Technorati authority went up. I went to see where the link was from. I visited the linking page, and all it was was a selection of snippets from various blog posts that contained the word "bar". The snippets linked back to their original sources. Then, as Paul pointed out, at the bottom of the page was a link to another site, with no explanation, whatsoever. Going to the root of the domain told me nothing. It struck me as odd, and I wasn't sure whether to be highly offended, or grateful for the link.
