And need a break? What do you do when this happens to you? I am getting burned out with trying to do too much and it is starting to catch up to me.

Yup. But when it happens, I tend to post, anyway, even if it's just a blurb to an interesting article I found on another blog. Not having a niche helps in that regard.

Yep, I'm at that point right now. Of course, I'm pulling double duty the past few weeks and needing to crank out a dozen or more articles in addition to my primary workload. Just trying to focus on the pinpoint of light at the end of the tunnel.

Yeah, I think that we've all been there before at one point or another.

If you need to take a few days away from the blogosphere I'd say by all means do it. You might lose a few RSS subscriptions and such but it might help give you a chance to clear your head.

Yes, a few times.

I just take 2 or 3 days off to recover. Usually that's enough to get my inspiration back :)

It is good to hear that I am not alone, I think I will take a much needed break from the internet this weekend.

Yeah I think it happens to all of us. I am SUPPOSED to be taking some time off right now although I'm sneaking some time online every once in a while.

Yes, I am very stressed right now because I feel I am being pulled in 20 different directions. I wish I knew a way to get away from it all right now but I just don't have that choice at the moment.

it's really hard for me when it gets like that. I get to the point where i get nothing accomplished. What helps me get through those busy times is to really stay organized, keep task lists, etc. Hang in there!

Sometimes I get into "super posting mode" which means I want to post more than once a day. When I find myself in this mode I crank out as many articles I want to on topics that can easily be posted at anytime, like a review of a book or site in my niche. Then I save them for when I find myself a bit burnt out. :)

That's a great tip right there IMO.

That is a great tip! I think I will try my hand with that one. Because then when times like this occurs I will be prepared.

I have this come to me recently. And sometimes I just cannot work. Then I just watch an episode or something from a series I like and drag myself back to work :)

I haven't really reached "burn out" yet, but sometimes I just don't feel like writing.

Like Sam above, even though I sort of have a niche in that I like talking about blogging, design, and web stuff in general, the fact that my site is called "random jabber" leave it open for just about any topic. So, if I get burnt out, I can just talk about whatever, without really stressing to come up with something good in my niche.
