This is a two part thread:

1) I'm setting up a site for a college buddy, http://www.socceralums.com. I used the Cutline theme but am horrible at design so I'm looking for someone to pretty it up, ie a header graphic and color scheme. Any suggestions?

2) I'm adding a forum to the same site, just installed vbulletin tonight and am working on setting it up, http://www.socceralums.com/forums. Any suggestions for me as I get it setup? I really like the way the header and theme for BlogExperiment forum and the blog are the same, how hard was that to do?

I could definitely recommend a designer if you would like and another thing you could consider is watching the Templates for sale (http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace/viewcategory?categoryid=18) section of SitePoint.com. I just purchased a unique fully coded theme for $85 for example. Not bad for a unique theme.

You'll want to do this once you have have your design for the rest of the site done. I pad a designer for the header and then I created the layout myself. Once i had the layout for the site, i paid someone $50 to skin it for me in vB. I can also give you their name too. Feel free to shoot me a pm or email if you want specifics.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you choose Cutline for your theme? (Bear in mind I hate Cutline with a passion - but then again I'm an clean, minimal, semantic and valid XHTML/CSS coding Nazi, so that's to be expected.)
