Some pointers to improve would be welcome.

I am assuming that the blog in question is the one in your signature.
It's really hard to judge without any content on it, so you may want to ask for more feedback once you get going. I like the layout and the color scheme that you chose. The concept seems interesting enough.
Right now, I'd just work on gettig some content up.

The images aren't showing on the latest post and I would definitely move your rss link out of the footer and make it more prominent so people can easily subscribe.

i think the idea of the blog and color scheme/theme are totally opposite for what the purpose is. the color scheme is dark and dreary looking at first glance (why is there a tiny little sad face hanging down from a string on the top? lol) i just dont think this fits at all for a site about helping people and making things better.
i also think you should have more about what are hte things that make you decide to help which people who contact you since this is based on donation. unfortunately there are still a lot of frauds out there to cheat charity based organizations and set ups like this - i wouldn't want to donate not knowing for sure its helping someone seriously in need.

I think that's a good point as well. You don't want to become a victim to a fraud.
Smittenbite also brought up the layout not matching with your overall concept, and I agree. I like the layout on its own, but it really just does not fit. I would recommend something brighter, a bit more cheery.

kimberly,
while there's nothing on content to comment about, i would advise you to credit where you've taken the theme from.
this was written in your CSS file
================================================== ================
Secure and Accessible PHP Contact Form v.2.0WP FIXED width
DEFAULT.CSS made by Mike Cherim - http://green-beast.com
Designed and built to work with the Default WordPress theme

so unless you're Mike Cherim - perhaps you should credit the theme details to him.

Thanks for all the comments. More content is coming. Smittembite. I agree the theme was not suited so I got a more suitable one. Goldfries. The links were never removed from the contact form and very visible by the submit button. ses5909. Your right about the images, looked fine on IE7, never thought to check other browsers. There fixed now.

That theme definitely suits your blog better and glad to see your pictures are working again!

I like the overall color scheme and layout. The only thing I would change is the color of the links in your copyrights at the bottom. They are showing up in a bright blue and are conflicting with the color behind them.
Other than that, I like it :)

I like your new theme and I liked your writing. The pictures of your dog battling the milkbone bag gave me a laugh. :)
In fact, I was inclined to make a comment but I won't register to comment on a blog. I really think you should change that.

I didn't even notice the required registration. You may want to read: make commenting easy for your subscribers (http://www.theblogexperiment.com/blog/2007/08/02/make-commenting-easy-for-your-visitors/)

I would have to agree with the registering. I don't tend to register on alot of blogs but I guess some might.
