I think Gossip blogs gain a lot of readership, well of course your source has to be as strong as Perez Hilton's. He's one mad fella with a hell lot of readers flowing into his blog and true enough, he's the Queen of the media so if you wanna start a Gossip blog, people will think that you're stealing his info. How sad.

So... blog what you know and what you have in mind. :D

Yes, I would agree that picking something you know about is the best thing because then it comes easier to you. I will say I see alot about working at home jobs and parenting blogs lately.

I guess my niche would be parenting. That and life as a SAHM. Possibly even working at home, although I am just starting out in that area.

Just pick a topic you really like and enjoy so that you don't get bored writing on your blog about that topic.

To get ideas for your niche, you could join communities for stay at home or work at home moms. In fact, one of our members, Brianna, has a website devoted to entrepreneur moms (http://www.mommyscompany.com/).

The hottest topic is the one you know a lot about. I have read awesome posts in some of the most saturated niches and in some new ones too. I create sites about things I love and know about, never went for what's cool
