I have a question.
Is there any way I could use widgets and php tags?
php can't execute with widgets right? only txt and html tags?
And was that a moronic question?

no it's not a moronic question and hopefully can answer it for you. I think a widget executes independently of your blog and are typically written in HTML and JS. If you want to use PHP, I think you need to make a plugin.
Is there something specific you are wanting to do?

Ah ic. A plugin.
Anyway, I'm just too lazy to edit the php files. hihihihi. You know, wordpress makes bloggers lazy. :p

well i think editing the wordpress php would be easier than making a plugin. although if you do that when you switch themes you gotta do it again or upload the original wordpress file again or else it might mess things up a bit

editing PHP is definitely easier than making Plugin.
i've fully integrated my photo-gallery (which i custom made in PHP) into WP pages by installing a PHP plugin.
heck before the plugin, it the gallery was on the source. after the plugin, the gallery was on a WP Page. :)
sure is much easier than making a plugin.
so instead of making a plugin, you can actually have your own PHP file which you can use include tags to run.

I just widgetized a great wp theme called activate-10. It was so easy I thought that's it? This was to get the dynamic sidebar function so I could use the drag and drop widget manager, which is very cool.
Then I got the get_recent_comments plugin because the default get_comments plugin broke the layout a tiny weeny bit.
I'm guessign you are using an older theme if you don't have widgets already...but they are really easy to upgrade because I did it :)

Wow! When you said that you'd asked on TBE, I thought you meant before I joined! I didn't realise you meant just a few hours before that post went live. lol!
For what it's worth, I future post my posts, so the post was written before this question, and that's why I didn't reply here. What a coincidence. xD
And thanks for sharing the link. :D
