Splash page

What do you think about splash page?
I stopped using them a loooong time ago. It used to be a trend somewhere in 1999, i guess, you know, the old school blogging.

Anyway, a splash page doesn't make sense anymore, it just wastes the visitors' time. What do you think?

A splash page really isn't used for a blog. It's used for a new website thats still being designed and they just put something up on the site. It's also used by businesses if they have multiple products running in an advertising campaign, I guess that's more of a landing page.
