do people really click on the adsense ads? I noticed other bloggers saying that they ignore it....Do you guys get your friends and family to randomly click it?

Nope, getting friends and family to click are a sure way to get yourself banned from the program altogether.

Bloggers and regular readers don't click ads, that's true. But people who arrive on your site via search engine, or possibly from another site, do click them. That's why it can take many months before you finally begin to see any sort of reasonable adsense revenue, since you need to build a presence that receives traffic from other sources besides friends, family, and regular readers.

Once that happens, adsense can be very profitable ;)

It depends on who is visiting your blogs. Different groups of people are more prone to clicking ads than others. For example, webmasters in general don't click ads but teens do.

While you can make a good bit of money with Adsense, I do recommend that you diversify and cultivate several sources of income. For example, in addition to Adsense, you could also sell ad space on your blog or text links through Text-Link-Ads.

Yep, your regular readers are not likely to click on the ads, and you don't want to specifically send people to your site just to click ads as that violates the TOS. However, people do (some more then others depending on the niche), but it does take time to build up any sort of regular income.

Obviously, getting friends and family members to click on your ads would not only ban you sooner than the later but if you think about it seriously, you will not earn from it in the long run by doing so.

Better is try to post quality content targeting your niche readers and attract that traffic more. It will automatically increase your click through rate and earning.

If you have any other questions regarding Google Adsense, post them here.

I have traffic from google, and traffic from there can earn some click, about 5 to 10 per days.

I was interested in using google adsense, but was never too sure what it was and what it did. The first thing i wanted to know is how do you get the money that you earn. through paypall or a similar, or do they send you a check. Also, i wanted to know how you can make money through it. Does it count how many people press the links or what? The final thing that I wanted to know about google adsense is if it's worth it. For those that have used it before, please tell me whether it is worth it and please tell me of its pros and cons because i am interested in using it if it's decent.

Google ads are excellent in that they deliver targeted ads that actually benefit your viewers. Basically advertisers bid on keywords for their advertising, and then you dedicate sections of your site to Google ads. Then the server will place ads of relevant content in those areas. That's the short version synopsis of Google adsense I guess.

In a nutshell, they calculate how much you earn per click depending on the particular keyword that ad was bidding for. Keywords in different niches earn different amounts of money, and Google doesn't share exactly what percentage of the bid you get.
