Are you allowed to place nofollow on text-link-ads? I can't find anything on this matter.
I assume not, but thought I'd ask.

There were some buzz around it when one of the more popular bloggers (I can't remeber who it was) added nofollow and got his account suspended. Because nofollow isn't explicitly forbidden in the TOS his account was reenabled later. If you are less popular you probably won't have that much luck. I also imagine you will have more trouble finding advertisers then.

No, you can't because TLA prevents you from modifying their script which you would need to to in order to make the links no follow.

Good thing I'm one of the most recognized bloggers on the planet then huh? :naughty: \:D/
(kidding by the way)

That's what I figured. Oh well, we'll see how it goes. Already got two advertisers from TLA. I can't help but feel like I'm getting a little ripped off though. Supposedly they offer 15% discounts to advertisers sometimes and they seem to be taking advantage of that with my sites.

Unfortunately it happens (the 15% discount I mean). I have some advertisers paying full price and others on a discount. The most annoying thing is that you can't see what price the advertiser will be paying before you accept or decline them. Of course, the lucky bit is that if you fill up your X slots you can increase this to offer another couple of spaces if you want. So theoretically you maximise your spots (even if some are at 15% less than others).

Yeah, I mean, I can't really complain I guess. I'm not making anything substantial right now off of it and won't be even if I sell all of my ad spots, but it's still extra that I wasn't making before so discount or not, I'm still to the good and it's basically money I'm getting for doing little work.
Yeah, like you said, you can increase the amount of ads if you use up all of the available slots. I'm only showing ads on my homepage right now (that is what advertisers prefer?) and then according to TLA, once the slots are used up on the homepage, you can begin selling a new set of slots on a second page of your site, so in theory, if you're site is highly popular, you could sell 10 ad spots on every single page, but I doubt that happens much if at all.
