Right off I'm going to tell you I am design challenged. Please be gentle. :o

Older Space is just my personal site but I'm a writer and that's personal to me, too!
It was originally created for my poems (I have nearly 200). Then I decided to include some prose, opinions, and essays. So I imagine after this get acquainted period is over, it will develop into a blog about my business and my opinions. However -- I'm over 50 so I have a lot of memories too. (So hard to decide what to do here!)

Anyway, I will eventually monetize this with Adsense. I have some affiliate links in the sidebar, but they don't do real well. I'll also use the site to advertise my business, and occasionally my husband's.

I probably have two goals for the blog. The first is to help other freelance writers learn the ropes in starting a freelance business and in writing for the web. The second is to create an interesting enough site that I'll find some prospective clients through it and also my clients can use it to find out more about my personality and my writing skills, if they are interested.

So have at it! I'm cringing....

I hate to say it, but I don't really have anything to add to it. The layout is nice and it works with your copy. Well, okay, I thought of something. I would probably get rid of the calendar if I were you. I don't think most people use the calendar. This would bring your search box and rss feed up to be more prominent in your sidebar.

While I did look up very closely, there is really nothing much to add other that Sara already said.
I agree about the calendar part, and when we more people put their thoughts to this poll (http://www.theblogexperiment.com/blog-forum/showthread.php?t=179), it will be easier to decide if you should leave it or not. :)
