If your goal is to make money, I would suggest investing a little more in your site. Get your own domain name and a professional design rather than a default layout. Show your readers that you're serious about your blog. First impressions make all the difference. Good luck!

I'm not sure how you plan to make money.

Is the blog to publicise your own closeout business? If so have stuff to buy listed on it.

Otherwise people will just go to if form information about the industry and perhaps how to do it for themselves. You could perhaps offer mentoring services or products or a simple on-line course for these people. On-line courses require a little tech savvy, or the money to employ people with same.

At the moment it reads like a blog for those in the industry. I'm not sure who the advertisers would be who would wish to target those in this industry.

In order to get targeted traffic you will need to find a means of directing steady to your blog. There are many options, namely paid per clicks, posting on forums and including your blog in your signature. Stuff like that.

When you customize your blog, make a banner or two that match your header image. If you have closeouts to sell you might write an ebook instructing others how to make money selling the closeouts they buy from you.

I'm with Evan on this. The first thing you want to do is decide who your target audience is and then from there look at all the options available to pull cash from them.

It looks like you are targeting people with stores like Overstock.com or those Dollar Bargain store. You could build up traffic your site and position yourself as an authority and then write an e-book on the best way to make money with closeouts.

I would also agree that you should think about purchasing your own domain as moving from a free host to a self hosted option is a pain in the buttocks.
