Critiques please...what can i do better?

Hey everyone, I've been working on my blog for a while and just found this site it looks great and i was hoping you guys could check it out and let me know what i could do better(in terms of how it looks) so that i can have more readers and more subscribers...THANK YOU!

Overall it looks pretty good.

Maybe a short paragraph or about page. I don't know what the ducks referred to are without searching a bit. Also it isn't clear that it is just about one city.

Perhaps some kind of measure (thermometer, gauge) of people signing up.

Info on whether/how people can join in protesting.

I too think the design looks good overall. I would either alter the width of the layout to give some more breathing room between the content and the sidebar or I would consider giving a different background element to the sidebar to distinguish it more from the content.

Rss feed should be more obvious, maybe move it up in the sidebar. Also if it's possible, you might consider adding top navigation to link to your home, about, archive and whatever you want pages.

Have you considered your own domain for hosting your blog?

thanks for everyone's commenst these are all really good ideas! Now I just have to figure out how to do the stuff thats recommended...off to my blog! Any more critiques would be helpful.

I like the logo, and very clever name. I think it's a bit plain, and could use a small description at the top as to what your topic is.
