I've seen plenty of cost per click programs, promoted/reviewed, just thought I would try something that doesn't rely on a visitor doing a certain action- like click on ad or commission from sales.

Burst Media
Casale
Fastclick
Valueclick
Azoogle

These are probably some of the bigger and more reputable companies that will run CPM. I've personally worked with Burst and Fastclick in the past on other sites, but I can't vouch for the others, nor comment performance metrics within the past year or two since it has been a while running CPM ads.

But regardless, most of the good CPM networks will require significant traffic to even accept you into the network. (Think thousands of pageviews per day). And the companies that aren't as good but let lower traffic sites in typically pay poorly (often under $1 CPM).

Considering the page real estate that many of the banners and ads take up on a site, I won't even consider anything that nets less than $10 CPM.

I don’t know about them, most of them I haven’t even heard off. This is the first time I have read about them. I am using payads now, it has paid me once.

PAY PER IMPRESSION

Pay per impression programs pay you on the basis of the number of ads you show rather than any other criteria required from the users side, like clicks, signups etx. Pay per impression are the safest mode of advertisement. Which is :-

1. Cheaper for the Advertiser (since the rates are low but are less reliable)
2. Quite reliable for Publisher but low paying. Publishers dont have to worry about clicks or signups.

CPM : Cost per M Here, M=1000 (Roman Letter)

Since, calculation of Ads or no. of impressions delievered on per ad basis is difficult, Advertisers use the word CPM i.e. Cost per 1000 ads.

Some popular Web Definations for PAY PER IMPRESSION.

1. Stands for cost per thousand (the M is derived from the Roman numeral for thousand, which was derived from the Latin "mille"). The price an advertiser pays per thousand impressions or eyeballs. Frequently used in print, broadcasting, direct marketing, and online banner ad sales.

2. "Cost per Thousand." The dollar figure used to evaluate the cost to reach a thousand persons in a media buy. CPMs are calculated by multiplying the cost of an ad by 1,000, then dividing that number by the total audience. CPM = Cost x 1,000 - divided by total Audience.

3. Refers to the cost for an advertiser to send a message to 1000 receivers. The measure is calculated by dividing the amount of money spent for a given advertisement by the number of people exposed to it. (Based on this measure, signs are usually considered to be the least expensive form of advertising.)

I prefer Project Wonderful - I've used them both as a publisher and an advertiser. You can bid to have your ad appear on a site of your choice for a day, and you can cancel it any time. I like the flexibility they offer, and they keep about 30% of the profits leaving me a nice chunk of money :)

Hi, I have posted something like this elsewhere in the forums, but this the most relvant place for this post, so here it goes.

it is possible, like some of you already no presumably, to make lots of money by doing very little stuff online. some effort is needed for some schemes, other not as much.

The best way, if you do not want to invest any money in the first place into your scheme, is by getting paid to click on links in emails, lots of them sent to your inbox evryday. I suggest you start another email account so that your origninal one does not get bogged down by paid to click emails.

These site, or the best ones anyway, are not too easy to find, as you have to filter through alot of garbage. So I have saved you the effort.

This link below, is to my website, hosted by trap17 of course, where the best of these programs are all on my fornt page.

These are all free to join, and all send out lots of links/emails a day. Some of these will take too long to go through so delete them. Just make sure you click one a month from each site otherwise you account is likely to be deleted.

Easy ways of getting referrals for these sites is by going to another referral building website listed at the end of this post.

First, my website:

Melks Paid Directory

(note: all links on my website are my own referral links, which does not hurt your earnings in any way and only helps me out. YOU DO NOT LOSE ANYTHING)

And the referral building website (also my link) is as follows:

I hope this information is helpful to you, and it has also come to me that I should tell you how much you earn a day without refrrals: 20 cents or so a day, but this is multiplied many times as soon as you get referrals.

I agreed with you Martyn cuz pay per click program will cost you a lot and you will be charge even for a single click. And it depends on the visitor either he/ she will come to your website and go for shopping or lefts its after a click.

It seems simple enough. When you place a print ad, television ad, or radio ad, or even direct mail lists, they tell you how many people they can reach and then you "pay per impression." Or actually, most will quote you per thousand impressions, so they aren't quoting fractions of pennies, but you get the point. Then you as a marketer figure if you reach a certain percentage of that thousand, whatever is acceptable to you based on your past experience, you have a pretty reliable system in place. You can tell your boss, well we just spent $25,000 on ads in the local magazines at $50 CPM (cost per thousand impressions), so we anticipate that we will reach 500,000 people and based on our experience, about 1%, or 5,000 will actually visit the website in the ad. If we can covert 50 of those people (1%) into students at around $3,000 per student, well then we would consider this a successful campaign. Sound familiar? This was common before the Internet and is probably still the dominant model. In fact, even some of the online advertising firms will quote in CPM because they moved online from a different medium and that is what their systems are all based on. When someone says CPM, this is what they are talking about, whether it is number of viewers expected on television, listeners on the radio, readers of a magazine, and so on.

Cost-Per-Click (CPC), some times called Pay-Per-Click (PPC), comes in. On the Internet

CPM is one of the greatest method to generate more business as google does, But it is hard to promote, however, If the site offers bunch of benefits as google, it will work out,
