Are there ever times when you feel obligated to post just because you know someone will stop by to see if you've posted something new? I used to. Like I was somehow duty bound to my readers. Now I just post when I have something to say. How about you?

I do both. As much as I'd like to deny it, I like traffic and I would post just to post because I do get some traffic from the sites I ping to as well as my feeds. You know, just to get the numbers up and round them off.
But if I really have something better to do, I wouldn't bother. I blog about my life anyway, but my life isn't about blogging.

No, I never post just because I feel obligated to do so. I post very rarely and that is when I need to say something.

Yes, I have posted just because I felt I had to. I don't like to get to that point and when I do I end up racking my brain for ideas. But if I don't have a good idea, I will usually not post and just accept that.

Its kind of a combination. I have to stay in that mindset sometimes so that I actually remember to put something up. It's weird I know, but hey, it is hard to commit sometimes ^_^

I don't see the point in posting just to post as it will probably draw people away and the 2 or 3 hundred word post they read just won't entertain them. I'd wait an extra day or so to post something that is worthwhile for people to read and something I could be confident that it was a really great post too.

I used to be really bad for posting even when I had nothing to say.
Now, I have a set posting schedule which I can keep up with. I post regularly, but I keep a list of topics to cover which extends months ahead of me, and a few posts tucked away for when I don't feel like writing.

When I first started I posted just to be posted. I guess I was trying to find my blogging groove, but now I don't post just to be doing it. If I don't have anything to say, I won't post. :)

I have done it on occasion But to be honest writing on my blog is my outlet so I find it easy in general to find something to post about.
