Hi,

First, I have to say I really like the colours used here. Very clean and attractive.

OK, yes, I would more than welcome your feedback on our blog which is less than 2 months old. It's a home renovation tips blog based on our own continuing experiences. I took the template straight out of blogger.

Blog: http://dailyrenotips.blogspot.com/ (http://dailyrenotips.blogspot.com/)

Goals: Home renovation is new to us as is blogging. However, what initially started as an outlet to vent on the lack of progress on our renovations has turned into a new hobby to share with friends and anyone else who is interested on renovation experiences, what they can learn from our mistakes (and successes....we have had a few).

Design Goals: Looking for a clean presentation that is easy to read. I'm not technical, either in computer software or in renovations :o . So since our posts will ge more general in nature I would like an easy to follow format for the reader.

Audience: As many folks as possible who are interested in the home improvements / renovations / remodeling so they can do better the first (or second or third or....) time they try to do what we are doing.

Other: Appreciate feedback on the subject matter (i.e. is anyone other than us and our friends really interested in renovations?), positioning of the ads, colour schemes appropriate for the topic, navigation ease, suggested changes to drive more visitors (since we really aren't getting more than 10 to 15 on any given day)......really, anything you would like to comment upon.

Many, many thanks in advance!

My first thoughts: This is a very common blog spot template, but it is clean, colorful, and effective so I wouldn't encourage you to change it unless you wanted something a bit more unique.

I like your "greeting and welcome" part. It lets us all know what your goals are.

I can't give any advice on subject matter BUT, I think blogs like this are great because they tackle a subject that so many people need info on and youre giving info from YOUR experience.

Hello there, again, I think. Having done major renovations on our house, I was interested in your blog. (where the heck were you when we needed the info?? ) It is fairly easy to change the color of things and even the entire template in blogger. Just go to your dashboard, click on layout which takes you to the template page, select fonts and colors and you will find everything you need there. Best of all, you can see what it looks like before you save it. Your content is great just jazz it up a little. Templates can be done the same way just try them out. I just changed all mine so I know it is easy and it works. Just don't forget to save when you have it the way you like it. I saved each step as I found what I liked so it was easier to go back and not have to redo the good things.

Hey Sara and Sue,

Thanks to you both for the feedback.

I think I will try the template change over the Christmas holidays, thanks for giving me enough courage.
