I am offering a design I finished recently up as an Auction for TBE members!
Bids will start at $60 and anyone wishing to bid should placed their bids in this thread.
All details of the auction and previews of the theme can be seen here (http://vertexity.com/blog/2007/11/14/design-auction/). This is easier than duplicating all of the info in this thread.
If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me or comment on the blog entry.
Thanks, and Good Luck - Happy Bidding xD

The design is the PSD only. I only know HTML & CSS enough to code up a standard page but I'm not able to code a WP theme just yet...learning though :)

Dave,
You could have someone convert it to HTML/CSS pretty cheap. Unless you just need the money, my advice would be to have this created into a theme and release it as "linkware" to get a ton of back links. It's a nice design.
Just a thought.

I could do the HTML/CSS myself, it's just the WP specifics that I am still learning. I do not want to pay someone to code it for me in exchange for offering it out for linkbacks - I may as well buy traffic instead. That's not what I'm trying to do here.
The money is not of much importance either, I give away designs on my blog and have donated to TBE too (you should see these soon....*ahem Sara :'" ).

Didn't mean to offend or anything. Just thought I would mention it as an option that giving away a template is a good way to get links - which is hard enough these days.
Great design and I'm sure someone will do well to own it.

Chrispian is right though. We know you're not trying to buy links but you are trying to build traffic. Increased links will do that. Also, you are in the process of establishing yourself and branding yourself and doing this can only help. There is a reason I am giving away WP themes for free. Yes, right now they are only for TBE members, but part of the strategy in that is to have links to TBE out there and help generate interest in the community there. I know if I let any out to the public, there would be a lot more buzz, which is why I am considering offering some themes to the general public and some here to members only.
As far as the themes I'm developing go, I am about to release another one today but it isn't one of yours Dave. I have quite a queue of designs that need coded up...just...need...more...time!

Lucky you :p I like to code them but I'm useless at designing them, lol

@Chrispian - No offense taken! Guess you were right anyway. Consider this auction closed and congrats to....well....no one!
I'll probably just leave this design to the side for a while, then most likely forget about it and let it hang out with the stockpile of other themes around the place.

Dave, you could probably sell the design on Sitepoint for around $40, but its doubtful you would get more than that as most people look for coded themes. Just take it on as a learning opportunity and a way to provide a service that is DEFINITELY in demand!

Thanks for tips Sara, I'm going to hang onto it for a while.
I am learning the ins and outs of WP development as we speak. And best of all, it's on my local install so I don't screw anything up!!
